TOP PLACES TO VISIT IN DEOGHAR, JHARKHAND, INDIA

The Trip: Top Places to Visit Deogarh

Hey! Readers. This is you travel buddy The Solo Xplorer Today I'm very excited and nervous too. This is my first blog outside of Guwahati . Hope you like it and keep supporting me like always. Thanks everyone for your love and support. Please comment your suggestion to me how to improve my blog.
As promised my reader friend. I was going to give you a surprise. So now the time has come to reveal. So without any further a due lets get started.

The journey

So I started my journey from my hometown of Dudhnoi. I started at around 11:45A:M from my home and went to Bongaigaon(a district city in Assam). Then from there I had my train till Rampurhat, West Bengal. So by 3:20 I boarded on the train and the train journey was as usual. And by 1:25 A:M. And got to an e-rickshaw and went to get the bus to
Dumka(A district city in Jharkhand) from where I was supposed to take the bus to Deoghar( District city in Jharkhand). So by 3:00A:M I got onto the bus for Dumka and reached Dumka by approximately  5:15 A:M . But due to high number of weddings the buses were reserved and waited for the bus then finally a bus came by but the number of people was so high that I sat on the top of the bus
. I was excited as in Assam i never faced the circumstances to sit on top of the bus. The experience was very nice. Looking at the landscape of rural Jharkhand it i was breathing. The roads from Dumka to Deoghar were straight as a needle. Next time i would try to go on a bike on that road as it will be paradise for one looking to check out their top speed on their vehicles. Then finally I got off when I reached Deoghar. By around 8:25A:M. So finally my destination was reached for the tymbing. And then went on to see the places.

The Places to visit in Deoghar

  • Baidyanath Dham

This place is one of the most important places in Hindu pilgrimage. This place is said to house Lord Shiva himself as the Jotirlingam.

As per stories my priest (pnda). Ravana the great perhaps the greatest devotee of Lord Shiva prayed to Lord Shiva for many years to take him to Lanka his kingdom. So that he can please Lord Shiva while looking after his Subjects. And he succeeded to take Lord Shiva in his Lingam form   with a condition that he should not be kept anywhere. Where ever he keeps the Lingam no one in this universe will be able to pick that up for him or for anyone. So he started from Mount Kailash. But due to his huge ambitiousness The god's fear that Ravana will be so powerful that no one will be able to beat him with Lord Shiva protecting him. So they pleaded to Lord Vishnu and Lord Vishnu then pleaded to Lord Shiva.
On which Lord Shiva ask them to Plead Lord Ganesha. So Lord Ganesha decended on that place as a cow herder. And mean while Ravana had great urge to urinate. So he began searching for person to hold the Lingam. Then he saw Lord Ganesha (The Cow hearted)  and pleaded him to hold the Lingam. On which he agreed. But when Ravana started to urinate he was not stopping at all. On to which Lord Ganesha said i cannot hold it anymore it is so heavy and I'm just a small boy. Then Lord Ganesha kept it. Then after some time Ravana stopped Urinating and went to pick the lingam but he failed. He was devastated. And went to another place to meditate and pray Lord Shiva to let him take to Lanka. But he failed and Lord Shiva never went to Lanka

  • Tapovan

This is the place according to the legends where Ravana went to meditate after his disaster that i mentioned before. Lord Shiva refused to go. This made him sad and from there he returned to Lanka.

This place is around 4-5km from Deoghar. You can easily take an auto to the place

  • Nandan pahar park

This is a beautiful park.
Located on the bank of a pond. This is not like a big Amusement park
but a rather small park with great views and  silent back drop here you
can come and relax. This is in the sub urban area of Deoghar.

  • Trikut Pahar:

Ravana from abducting Mata Sita. The top peak has a great view. Even if you don't believe this tales you can come to visit this place just to experience the sheer beauty of the place.
The rope way made it easier for visitors to see the place. I would like to jump from the cliff with a wing suite. It would be so much fun. This place is around 16km from Deoghar town but the place is so common that you will get Auto to there alway .

  • Satsang Ashram

This is the headquarters
of the dharma called 'Joyguru'. Which I'm too a follower of. This place is very beautiful. You will find peace in here. Everyone can visit this place irrespective of gender, religion, caste, creed and race.
I would like to suggest everyone to visit this place too.

The Conclusion

Sorry everyone since i was in hurry and was visiting the places. I was only able to visit Baidyanath Dham and Satsang Ashram but the other places are all my visited places. And all the reviews are 100% genuine. I apologize for that . And the pictures are of my old visits. I was not able to visit those places. I would like to suggest you that if you want to visit all the places you can it is not impossible but it will be too hectic and you wont be able to experience it much. So I would suggest you to spend at least 2days there. I couldn't spend time because I have more places to visit and now I have boarded to a train to my new destination.
