Best Places to visit Kolkata in a Day

Kolkata is one of the largest cities in India and has an enormous number of population. It is also called the cultural capital of India. Kolkata city is filled with colour and glitters. Since this is heart of economic activity in East India . Kolkata city whether is never too extreme but sometimes it gets fierce. My personal experience with this city is quite good regarding Kolkata whether. But unfortunately this time I had to feel the heat of Kolkata the temperature reached around 40°C. OK now back to the topic for which you are here right the top place in Kolkata city to visit while you are in hurry . People often come here to get there connecting flights. Flights and also people of East India who are going to far international destinations too come to the city. So people who are not for tourist purpose have very less time to visit the places. So I have sum out few places that will be best suited for you to visit as much as important place in shortest time possible. So lets get started. 

Victoria Memorial

This is the palace of her Majesty Queen Victoria , in the heart of Kolkata city . Now it is converted into a museum for the visitors. This place is quite a spectacular view. It has the palace itself and beautiful gardens to chill in the scorching heat.

10:00AM-8:00PM Weekends

Moday and National Holidays closed

 Indian Museum 

This is the biggest museum in probably Entire East India and also in entire India. This place have many things that will fetch your interest. From prehistoric fossils of mammoths to historic ruins of Mauria empire. It has a very large coin collection. It too has exhibitions of Mummy, old paintings to ancient sculptures and many more.

St Paul's Cathedral 

It is one of the biggest cathedral in East India or we can say say one of the biggest in entire India. This Cathedral shows the faith of the Royal Family towards their religion. The architecture is truly magnificent. And the gardens outside are very calming. Anyone can visit this magnificent place showing the enormity of The British Empire on its colony India also called 'The Golden Bird'.

 Alipore Zoological Garden

This is one of the biggest largest Zoological garden in India. Here there are alot of varieties of fauna from around the world in Kolakata city . Alipore Zoological  is one of the most famous Zoological Gardens in India. Put this into your bucket list while you visit Kolkata city next time and you won't regret your visit in your tight schedule.
